Preparing for your First Game

Your First Game

  1. Make your way to site

  2. Check in with staff and make sure you’re all set for game (paid, checked in, paperwork, etc)

  3. Unload your stuff on and around an available bunk

  4. Get your combat gear checked for safety

  5. Get to know the other players whenever comfortable

  6. Get into kit and listen to opening announcements when it’s time.

  7. Enjoy your weekend

And now other things that don’t fit on a numbered list. There is a lot of information. You will be confused. Everyone is confused. Confusion is not a bad thing and people will happily walk through things with you. We would rather stop and explain everything if you’re comfortable rather than have the confusion get brushed off. Safety and fun are our priorities and widespread understanding of the rules is crucial to that. A personal note, experienced players get confused too. No rules system is perfect and the closer you look, the more head scratching interactions you’ll find, trust me. We are in this together.
